The construction of the soccer stadium in Bandar Abbas has not been completed after 13 years. The delay has been blamed on the previous contractor which was recently replaced. But the project is also suffering from lack of adequate funding which is threatening the delayed opening scheduled for March 2010. (see related report by ISNA - in Persian)
