TORONTO, Oct. 30 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran became runner-up in the 10th World Wushu Championship on Friday. Iran won five gold medals and six silvers in the tournament. China claimed the championship bagging 14 golds and one bronze.

Hong Kong finished third with three golds, five silvers and four bronzes.

About 1000 athletes from 73 countries took part in the six-day tournament in Toronto, Canada.

A total of 19 Iranian men and women athletes represented the country in the event.
