Defeated Iranian presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi has called for
continued protests against the results of Iran's disputed presidential election.
In a statement Saturday on his official Web site (Kaleme.com), Mr. Mousavi urged supporters to take the "green path" they have followed in recent months by holding small and large gatherings. He also renewed allegations of fraud related to the election.

Green was the color of Mr. Mousavi's election campaign and was often used during the large opposition protests that followed Iran's presidential election in June.
Mr. Mousavi's call comes two days after Iran's parliament approved 18 nominees put forward by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his 21-member Cabinet.
Mr. Ahmadinejad was re-elected in a controversial vote that saw Mr. Mousavi finish second. Government opponents say the election was fraudulent, and when the results were announced it set off days of street demonstrations.
Thousands of Iranians have been arrested and continue to be detained for protesting the outcome of the election.
