TEHRAN, Sept. 23 (Mehr News Agency) - The 3rd Iran Gas Forum
will be held from 26 to 27 September with representatives from Germany, the UK,
Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea and Malaysia taking part in it.
Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) quoted the director of Research
and Technology of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) saying that this
conference revolves around four main topics.
Saeed Pakseresht said, "The topics of the conference include policy making and
macro strategies in the Iranian gas industry, management of demand and reform of
energy consumption pattern, technology development in various fields of the
industry and human resources development and its challenges."
He pointed out that 212 domestic companies have been invited to the conference,
adding that four roundtables will be held in the forum.
Out of 275 papers 35 articles have been chosen that will be presented in 7
sessions, he said.
Pakseresht noted that an exhibition will be set up with the aim of showcasing
research achievements of the country in the natural gas industry, and an
educational workshop will be established to promote technology in this industry.
TEHRAN, Sept. 23 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran will take part in
the 24th World Gas Conference which will be held during October 5-9 in
Argentina, research and technology director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC)
said here on Wednesday.
IRNA news agency quoted Saeid Pakseresht as saying that the NIGC will
participate in the event as Iran's representative.
"Iran has sent 76 articles to the conference out of which 19 are selected to be
presented," he added.
According to Pakseresht, Iran ranks second after Russia in terms of the number
of articles sent to the conference.
The 24th World Gas Conference will take place on 5-9 October 2009, concluding
the Argentine presidency of International Gas Union (IGU) during the 2006-2009
triennium. For the first time the World Gas Conference will take place in South
America and in the Southern hemisphere.
