Confusion Surrounds 'Assassination' Attempt On Ahmadinejad
Confusion surrounds a presumed assassination attempt on Ahmadinejad on Wednesday after officials denied reports that an assailant had thrown an explosive device at his convoy.

"The Zionists have send people to assassinate me. Look how hopeless they are. They [Israelis] have assassinated so many Iranians," Ahmadinejad said.

"What happened? Today every single Iranian is a Rostam, Arash, Siyavash [heroes in Persian mythology] and a brave combatant."

In the same speech Ahmadinejad called on U.S. President Barack Obama to face him in a televised debate about how to solve the world's problems.

There has been no reaction from the Obama administration or Israel to the latest comments by the Iranian president.
