Photos: Iran girls' soccer team defeats New Guinea at Youth Olympic Games

SINGAPORE, Aug. 15 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian girls' soccer team beat Papua New Guinea in the Singapore Youth Olympic Games on Sunday. In the match held at the Jalan Besar Stadium, Iran defeated Papua New Guinea 1-0 in Group A.

Fatemeh Ardestani scored Iran's sole goal in the 43rd minute.

Iran was beaten 4-2 in its first match against Turkey.

The Persians will advance to the next round if Turkey defeats Papua New Guinea too.
