Qatar's Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad in Tehran on Tuesday.

During the meeting Ahmadinejad said the two countries enjoy brotherly relations
and should expand their cooperation at regional and international level.
The president praised Qatar's active and constructive role in the Middle East
and called for a quick expansion of relations with Doha.
The president went on to say that enemies are seeking to resolve their economic
and political problems through spreading war in the entire region and that is
why regional countries should be more united than ever.

Ahmadinejad said the West does not want to see a secure Middle East and that's why it has
been attempting to halt the emergence of powerful countries in the region.
He also said Tehran sees eye to eye with Qatar about the enemy's plots against
regional nations.
The two countries are expected to sign a number energy, military, and economic
agreements during the Qatari official's trip.

Qatar's relations with Iran are strategic, brotherly and strong, said Qatar's
Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday.
The historical and cultural affinities between the two countries serve as a
stepping stone to promote relations, Al Thani told Iranian Defense Minister
Ahmad Vahidi.
He also said that Doha is ready to expand military cooperation with Tehran.
He went on to say that dialogue between Persian Gulf nations will help reinforce
unity and brotherhood and promote regional security.
The Qatari official also invited Vahidi to visit his country in the future.
Vahidi said fortunately Tehran-Doha ties are standing at a good level.
He also said that Iran is ready to promote military and defense ties not only
with Qatar but also with other Persian Gulf countries.
He went on to say that Tehran believes all regional nations must commit
themselves to improving stability and security in the sensitive region of the
Persian Gulf and the strait of Hurmoz.
