Iran unveiled its first one-man twin-engine airplane dubbed Faez with the presence of Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmand Vahidi on Monday. Iran also inaugurated production lines of advanced drones named Raad and Nazir.
Faez plane weighs 78 kilograms and it can tolerate 175 kilograms at most while flying. It can fly at the speed of 220 kilometers per hour.
The amphibious plane can carry medical, logistic and postal shipments and make reconnaissance.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad flew with the simulator on Monday on the sidelines of the second Iranian national festival of innovation.
The simulator costs about 196 thousand dollars to produce, far less than the foreign model.
