The second annual gathering of the the rescuers club of Kerman province was held in Shahdad desert. The purpose of this gathering was team-building, camp living training, and enhancing the endurance level of the relief workers by exposing them to the tough conditions of the desert.
Town of Shahdad is located about 95km from the city of Kerman, and it's at the edge of Lout desert. Iran's province of Kerman in respect to its relief and natural terrain, encompasses elevated plains and vast desert spaces. Some of these such as the plains and summer residing quarters are taken advantage of as recreational areas. The plains of Shahdad, Bam and Jiroft are low-lying plains, and reach a maximum elevation of 2,100 - 1,300 m. (read more on IranTourOnline.com)
