The village of Atashgah in Ardebil, Iran's Azerbaijan province, has an abundance of water resources. However, the people of the village are still deprived of safe drinking water piped to their homes. Instead they have to travel long distances and carry their waters from springs.
The spring water from the
village is bottled and sold by a mineral water company. But there is no benefit
in this for people of the village.
