Solidarity Committee for Advancement of Democracy in Iran will be holding a candlelight vigil on Sunday January 3rd at the Union Square in New York to honor Iranians killed during a peaceful rally in Tehran and to support the democracy movement of Iran.

We are inviting all Iranians in the NYC tri-state area to join us in a candlelight vigil to:

• Honor the memory of the 38 fallen Iranians who were killed by the Islamic Republic of Iran during a peaceful rally on Bloody Sunday (December 27th 2009 on Ashura Day)  

• Support the democracy movement of Iran and condemn Islamic Republic's dictatorship

• Demand immediate release of all political prisoners specially the recently arrested 2000 peaceful protesters.
