TEHRAN, Jan. 12 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iranian shot putter Leila Rajabi complains about not having a coach. The athlete, who is of Belarusian origin and acquired Iranian nationality after marrying athlete Peiman Rajabi, said she trains by herself.
"Shot put is a technical sport and I cannot train without an expert. I certainly need to train under a good foreign coach," the woman athlete added.
"I told Iranian federation officials to hire a coach and they have accepted, but high-profile coaches demand high salaries," Rajabi said.
"I'd like to participate in Iran's league, but first the clubs have to be committed to pay the players' according to their contracts," the 27 years old stated.
"I have not been paid any wages in the past four months and live on my husband's salary," Rajabi added.
Leila Rajabi won the 2009 Asian Championship bronze medal in Guangzhou, China.
She also claimed the gold medal in the 2009 Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
