The mourning mothers, who had been arrested by Iranian security forces on Saturday during one of their weekly meetings at Laleh Park in Tehran, have been released.
Over thirty mothers were arrested on Saturday and
reportedly some of them were mistreated.
Human rights groups had condemned the arrests and called for their immediate release.
Mourning Mothers was organized after the death of post-election victims, Neda Agha-Soltan and Sohrab Arobi, by mothers who had lost their children in the post-election crackdown on protesters.
Scores of social and women's activists have joined the group whose main demand is government accountability toward the death and imprisonment of their children.
Their peaceful gatherings of Mourning Mothers have been the target of repeated attacks by Iranian security forces.
