Many villages in the vicinity of the Iranian port city of Jask still lack safe drinking water. Two tankers deliver water to 60 villages  is the area every two months.

Jask is a port town in in Hormozgan province of Iran, about 1,050 miles (1,690 km) south of Tehran, situated on the Gulf of Oman. Hormozgan is is one of the 30 provinces of Iran. It is in the south of the country, facing Oman. Its area is 68,475 km2, and its provincial capital is Bandar Abbas. The province has 14 islands located in the Persian Gulf, and 1,000 km of coastline.
