Ambassadors from 5 member states of ALBA (the Bolivarian Alternative for
Latin America) issued a statement Wednesday opposing sanctions imposed on Iran
as they met in Tehran.

"The statement goes along condemnation of
military threats against Iran and we also denounce embargo against the country,"
said Bolivian ambassador to Iran in a meeting held in Bolivian embassy in
Tehran.
Also Ecuadorean ambassador to Iran said, "Latin American countries are victims
of military and embargo, but ALBA members are united."
He added, "with the statement we want to say that Iran can confront any military
and economic sanctions."
Also Nicaraguan ambassador to Iran said, "we as members of ALBA condemn
resolutions and sanctions imposed on Iran and we seriously oppose sanctions.
there is no political, moral or idealogic basis for sanctions, we believe that
talks can fix problems."
The statement signed on Wednesday supporting Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
"We as ALBA ambassadors and heads of missions in Iran condemn bellicose
intentions of the US and its allies specially Zionist regime."
"We reiterate our support for Iran's legitimate right to produce atomic energy
and use it peacefully, the civilized approach of talks and dialogue to remove
disagreements never ends."
The statement then warned that military strike against Iran will have adverse
consequences for the whole humanity.
The statement was signed in Tehran by ambassadors of Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua,
Venezuela and charge d affairs of Ecuador.
Also Bolivian ambassador said president of his country Evo Morales visits Iran
mid September.
ALBA member satates involve Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Ecuador,
Antigua and Barbuda, the Dominican Republic and Saint Vincent and the Grenada.
