Isa Saharkhiz, imprisoned journalist and an advocate for the freedom of press in Iran, in an open letter to the head of judiciary, which was released on Saturday, warned that if his complaints against some of the Iranian officials are not investigated within a month he will take his case to international courts.
Regarding the role of Mohseni Ezhei, the Prosecutor General, in tortures at the prisons, Saharkhiz writes in his open letter: "He is someone who has personally beaten and bashed detainees while at different posts; and Mr. Mohseni Ezhei is the very person that in the post of the deputy of the judiciary in an official session of the committee for control of the media threw a sugar holder at the representative of the country's editor-in-chiefs, which [hit me and] led to serious bruises on my waist, and then he injured me by biting my shoulder.
"In his open letter, Isa Saharkhiz also makes a complaint against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and considers him responsible as well.
At the end of his open letter, Isa Saharkhiz makes his case against the supreme leader and writes: "The highest official in the Islamic Republic that has given and continues to give himself the right to interfere in all legislative, executive and judiciary affairs of the country and the heads of branches of the government, contrary to the constitution and its spirit, considers his statements and orders conclusive in all affairs, has a decisive and undeniable role, and as the result of this position has the responsibility for the actions of the people under his command and the extensive violations."
