Tehran, July 31, IRNA - A scientific network for Iranian expatriates will be launched during the Seminar on Iranian Expatriates slated for August 2-3.
Announcing this, secretary of the Scientific Education Workshop of High Council on Iranian Expatriates, Arsalan Qorbani said that an exhibition of new scientific, research, technological and medical achievements will be held on the sidelines of the event.
After the first round of the seminar, some 200 Iranian expert expatriates were absorbed to the Iranian research centers, he, who is also deputy minister of science, research and technology, pointed out.
Some 50 Iranian expatriates also participated in the joint scientific projects, he noted.
Stating that some 400 Iranians living abroad are participating in the workshop, Qorbani added that some 1,200 elites and experts are expected to take part in the event.
Of the participants in the second round of the event, 400 are living in the US, 190 in Britain, 97 in Germany, 49 in Canada, 28 in France, 12 in Denmark and 11 in Malaysia.
Commenting on the programs of the upcoming seminar, Qorbani said that panel of scientific, educational and research cooperation with the Iranian expatriates will be held in the form of four specialized meetings themed 'exchange of instructors and students', 'scientific network of Iranian expert expatriates, 'scientific associations' and 'scientific and technological parks'.
An exhibition featuring the latest scientific, educational and research achievements of more than 50 universities and research centers in Iran is also on the agenda, Qorbani said.
