Three Iranians, arrested yesterday for public order offences during a protest against the presence of Manouchehr Mottaki, Iran's Foreign Minister in Dublin, were released today,Irish Times reports.

Irish Times writes that Iranians gathered in front of the Institute of International and European Affairs in Dublin to protest against human rights violations in Iran and challenge the Institute's invitation to the Iranian foreign minister.

An Associated Press video shows two Iranians heckling Mottaki's address and being manhandled by the foreign minister's own guards.

The protesters refer to the recent execution of Kurdish political prisoners in Iran and call Manouchehr Mottaki "terrorist." Angry protesters also threw eggs at him and his car as he left the meeting.

The Institute of International and European Affairs justified its invitation to Mottaki as an opportunity for the Irish people to hear the foreign policies of the Islamic Republic.

According to Irish Times Mottaki met with the Irish foreign minister and their discussion revolved around the topics of human rights, Iran's nuclear activities and peace in the Middle East.

In the past year various cities around the world have seen Iranians protesting against Islamic Republic officials and the oppression of the domestic movement of reform in Iran.
