Iran's shooting team travel to the Australian world championship was cancelled as the country banned arrival of Iranian guns.
While Iran's national shooting team was to travel to Australia for a one-week preparatory camp as well as its presence in the world championship, the trip was cancelled because Australian parliament has legislated a new rule indicating that some certain countries including Iran are not allowed to enter weapons into Australia.
The trip was cancelled whereas visas of the travelers had been issued.
Iran was to begin its camp with 18 athletes and attend the world championship March 20-28 in Australia.
The competition is held in two sections of fixed targets and moving targets and Iran was to attend in fixed targets competitions.
The competition is one of the most reputed shooting champions all over the world.
