Iran came ninth on Thursday in the 8th Asian Youth Girls' Volleyball Championship held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Compared to the previous edition in which Iran was 11th in Manila the team did a better job this year.

The Persian girls won three convincing 25-18 25-17 25-21 sets against Vietnam to stand in ninth place.

Teams Japan and China will meet together in the final game of the 8th Asian Youth Girls' Volleyball Championship.

The winning team will join host Singapore as well as Egypt, Belgium, Peru and the yet to be decided Norceca continental champions for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore this August.
