KHORAMABAD, Nov. 6 (Mehr News Agency) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale hit the town of Doroud in the western province of Lorestan on Saturday morning injuring 104 people.
The quake happened at 7:22 local time and was followed by an
aftershock with a magnitude of 2.7 on the Richter scale.
26 of the injured remained in hospital, while the others were released after treatment.
The quake caused severe damage to residential buildings and some houses experienced power cuts.
Two other earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.7, and 3.9 hit provinces of West Azerbaijan and Razavi Khorasan respectively on Saturday.
No casualties or damages were reported from the other two quakes.
