GUANGZHOU, Nov. 22 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran's Taleb Nematpour and Babak Ghorbani won the gold medals in the Men's Greco-Roman Wrestling at the 16th Asian Games on Monday.
84kg Nematpour defeated Lee Seyeol of South Korea in the final and seized the gold.
Also, Ghorbani in the 96kg category beat Asset Mambetov of Kazakhstan and won the title.
74kg category Farshad Alizadeh defeated Azizbek Murodov from Uzbekistan in the bronze medal match.
Iran had already claimed two gold medals in the Greco-Roman in Sunday matches. Omid Norouzi claimed the gold medal in the 60kg category and Saeid Abdvali gained the gold medal in the 66kg.
Iran has claimed 12 gold medals at the Asian Games so far. Khadijeh Azadpour won the gold medal of the women's 60kg Sanshou Wushu. Mohsen Mohammad-Seifi seized the gold medal of the men's -60kg Sanshou Wushu competition, and Hamidreza Gholipour won the gold in the men's 75kg Sanshou Wushu.
Iranian taekwondo athletes Yousef Karami, Alireza Nasr-Azadani and Mohammad Bagheri-Motamed claimed three gold medals at the games.
Mohsen Shadi Naghadeh seized the gold medal in the Lightweight Men's Single Sculls in rowing and Behdad Salimi won the gold in Men's +105kg Weightlifting competition.
Altogether, 9,700 athletes from 45 countries are vying in 42 various sports at the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games in southern China which runs until November 27.
