Tehran Physicians Targeted Again: Sound Bomb Explodes In Al-Ghadir Hospital

A sound bomb exploded in Al-Ghadir hospital, east of Tehran, at 8:30 am local time Tuesday. No casualty or major damage has been reported but glasses of nearby windows have been shattered.

The bomb had been planted in the hallway on the ground floor of the hospital, the Persian service of Farsnews reported.

The law enforcement forces immediately arrived at the scene of explosion and checked the situation. One suspect has been arrested so far and further investigation is underway.

It is not yet known whether the explosion is connected to the assassinations of two physicians late last month.

Dr. Abudl-Reza Soudbakhsh was shot dead in front of his office in Tehran on September 21 and heart specialist Dr. Gholamreza Sarabi was killed on September 22.

One of the main suspects in connection with Dr. Sarabi's assassination, Bahman Karimi, committed suicide when he was chased by the law enforcement forces in a road west of Iran.
