The European Union's foreign affairs chief, Catherine Ashton, who represents world powers in nuclear talks with Iran, on October 14 proposed a new round of meetings in Vienna in mid-November.
The talks between Iran and six powers -- Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States, and Germany -- have been stalled for a year.
The talks are aimed at addressing international suspicions that Iran is seeking the capability to make nuclear weapons under the guise of its civilian nuclear program, a charge that Iran denies.
