Iranian tourists have made up 7.03 percent of Turkey's visitors during the first half of 2011.
According to new data published by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, more than 13 million tourists have traveled to Turkey during the January to June period of this year which shows an increase of 12.6 percent over last year.
The data revealed that 915,386 Iranian tourists visited Turkey during the first half of this year which makes up 7.03 percent of Turkey's total visitors.
The most popular entry points into Turkey in the first six months of year were Antalya with 32.38 percent, İstanbul with 27.34 percent and Edirne with 8.85 percent of the total number of tourists.
