Iranian women's poomsae team won silver medal in 26th world Universiade in Shenzhen, China on Friday. Taekwondo poomsae is a combination of basic actions and movements exercised with an imaginary opponent.

Iran and China were leveled on 59.8 points but because of better presentation Iran won the second spot.

South Korea claimed the Gold medal with 65.8 point; joint third place went to China and Vietnam.

Mahsa Mardani, who won two silver medals for Iran, says he is very happy with the result.

"I'm very happy that we won the silver medal. We finished higher than great teams like China and Vietnam. We deserved that," she said.

More than 13,000 athletes from about 150 countries will compete in 24 sports in the 26th world student games, also known as the 2011 Summer Universiade, from August 13 to 23.
