Iran's Unemployment Rate at 12.3%

According to the Statistical Center of Iran, the unemployment rate for the country in spring 2011 dropped to 12.3% from the year earlier figure of 13.5%.

The report also includes the breakdown of the different job sectors as follows:
Agriculture: 20.4%
Industry: 31.8%
Services: 47.8%

Looking at the unemployment rate across the country, Albroz and Fars provinces, with 20.7% and 20.6% unemployment rates respectively, are the most depressed economically. Meanwhile, Yazd and Mazandaran provinces, with 7.4% and 7.9% unemployment rates respectively, are the best performing ones.
