Iranian basketball player Hamed Haddadi made his best performance in NBA by scoring 10 points for the winner Memphis Grizzlies against the Sacramento Kings.
On Saturday night, Grizzlies defeated Kings 120-92 and Haddadi played for about 22 minutes. He scored 10 points on 5-11 shooting, and had 10 rebounds (four offensive), two blocks, and one assist.
"I was so happy they gave me some minutes. I want to use them the best way I can to help my team win. I'm so happy. I wish to play better each game," Haddadi said.
It was the best performance of the 2.18 meter tall Iranian since he joined Grizzlies in 2008.
"Hamed did a nice job. He had 10 rebounds, he had two blocked shots, and he rolled to the basket and finished. He is going to get the minutes. He has got to play. He is the only seven-footer we have on the roster. He has got to be more focused at practice every day and aware of what we're doing. He has got to come up to speed and I think he will do fine," Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said.
