Filmmaker Khosrow Sinaii together with his art-loving family members are displaying their artworks for the public in a group exhibition that opened on Friday December 31 at Tehran's Rah-e Abrisham (Silk Road) Gallery.

daughters Yasmin, Samira, Alma, son Sam, and grandson Masih Parsaii together
will put their works on show.
Entitled "In the World Where I am Living", the two artists Farah and Gizella will be displaying their joint production which also bears the same title as the exhibit.
Khosrow Sinaii is internationally famous for over a hundred
short films, documentaries and features. "In the Alleys of Love", "Talking with
a Shadow" and "Bride of Fire" are among his credits.
He received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland for his documentary "The Lost Requiem" in 2008.
Khosrow is taking part with a short 12-minute video
installation named "Biography" centering on sculptor Jazeh Tabatabaii
(1931-2008). Tabatabaii is renowned as the founder and director of Iran's first
gallery known as Iran's Modern Art Gallery.
Iran-based Hungarian artist Gizella and Iranian Farah each will be exhibiting 11 paintings.
But their joint artwork is a huge one measuring 3x1.5m. Each of them has used motifs and elements from their own country in this work. The painting was previously displayed in Paris, Budapest and Tehran.
Yasmin is attending with her sculpture "Dream of Flight" and
Samira with her video installation "Flags of My Two Lands".
Sam is bringing his collection of photos, Alma paintings of nature, and Masih is presenting a video installation.
The exhibit will run until January 18 at the gallery located at 103 Lavasani St. in northern Kamranieh.
The Silk Road Gallery was established in Tehran in December 2001 to bring together and promote the works of the increasing number of Photographers who have been emerging in Iran over the past decade.
Photography in Iran has exploded into a real and growing movement exploring all aspects of life in these extraordinary times. The artistic talent of these young people is generating a unique record of life here and has attracted great attention internationally.
Since 2007, the Gallery has opened its doors to other fields of art, and sculptors, painters, video artists and others have found a new space to express themselves.
The Gallery is present at several major contemporary art fairs including Paris Photo, Abu Dhabi art, Art Dubai, and exhibitions in order to promote the work of established, internationally renowned photographers. The Silk Road Gallery dedicates itself to supporting a selection of young and talented emerging Iranian artists.
