Speaking on the 17th anniversary of the publication of Iran
newspaper, the Iranian president said the colonialist media has manufactured
lies and imposed the most illogical political system on the world for a whole
"Independent and free media, namely the Iran newspaper, are at the frontline of those [media] seeking justice and should publish the front's message in the best manner and different from the Western models."
Iran now has a historical and international responsibility, Ahmadinejad said, asserting that "today, no one doubts anymore that the Iranian nation has grown to this refinement through divine guidance to carry out its historical mission in this sensitive period."
"A stage in which the humanity needs a leadership [which is] universal, just, pure, affable and will lay the groundwork for the blossoming of all its talents."
