"This institution like other military institutions controls a number of military piers, but no financial transaction is conducted there," Jafari told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday.
He added that certain people raise such issues to divert the government's attention from the places through which goods are smuggled.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said there is a huge difference between the amount of goods exported and the revenues generated, adding this indicates some other goods are imported through illegal border checkpoints.
Noting that Iran's customs revenues fall short of target, he said customs revenues should stand at around 90,000 to 100,000 billion rials but it was only 70,000 billion rials at the end of the last Iranian calendar year (which ended on March 20).
On fight against smuggled goods, he said the campaign is not effective as it should be, saying the people involved in such attempts should not take bribes
