Iran is to host the 24th International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT). The competition is planned to run on July 22-31 in Tehran's prestigious Amir Kabir Poly Technique University with 22 countries are to join the tournament.
Students from Croatia, Nigeria, Kenya, Poland, China, Austria, Slovakia, Russia, Sweden, Singapore, Belarus, Mexico, Taiwan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Germany, South Korea, Brazil, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Thailand and Ukraine are to take part in the competition.
Out of 185 participants, 80 individuals are the team's supervisors and 105 are participants.
The tournament began in 1979 in Moscow for the first time, but was expanded into comprehensive level in 1988.
The tournament has been held in 30 countries so far.
