Iran's Paykan won the 2011 Asian Men's Volleyball Club Championship on Saturday. The Iranian representative swept Almaty of Kazakhstan 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-19) at the Sriwijaya Sports Hall in Palembang, Indonesia.
Paykan has won seven times the Asian Championship, six times in a row.
Paykan also qualified for the FIVB Men's Club World Volleyball Championship which will be held in Doha, Qatar from October 8 to 14.
The team has been drawn in Pool A along with Jastrzebski Wegiel of Poland, Trinity Western Spartans from Canada and Russia's Zenit Kazan.
Pool B consists of Italian Trentino, Egypt's Al-Ahli, Qatar's Al- Arabi and champion of South America.
