With less than a month left to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Secretary General Elections, Iranian candidate seems fit for the position.
Mohammad Hossein Karimi, head of agriculture department for Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines has indicated that the election for United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will be held in less than a month for the highest position among the 194 member states.
Iranian candidate for FAO's leading position is Dr. Mohammad Noori Naeini. The one who according to Karimi with respect to global sentiments has more technical and professional advantages compared to his rivals.
At its Thirty-seventh session to be held in Rome from 25 June to 2 July 2011, the Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will appoint the Director-General of FAO for the period 1 January 2012 to 31 July 2015.
Dr Naeini has been Iran's ambassador to FAO for the past 11 years, during 4 years of which he held one of FAO's council seats. His advanced background and education is not comparable with any of his opponents and he is more skilled and experienced than anyone among the candidates.
