TASHKENT, May 20 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran finished in second place in the 2011 Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship on Friday. The Asian powerhouse took second place with one gold medal and three silvers. Iran bagged 49 points in the event.
Uzbekistan sealed the title with three golds, one silver and one bronze. The host won the championship with 51 points. The third position went to Mongolia with five bronzes and 48 points.

Ehsan Amini claimed Iran's sole gold medal in the 84kg class. Amini defeated Kanat Berdiyef from Kazakhstan in the final game and won the title. Aibek Usupov from Kyrgyzstan and Zaurbek Sokhiev from Uzbekistan jointly won the bronze medal.
The wrestler Mostafa Aghajani snatched a silver medal in the 60kg class. Aghajani lost to Dauren Zhumagaziyev from Kazakhstan and took second place. Mongolian Batsaikhany Nemekhbayar and Ri Jong-Myong from North Korea jointly claimed the bronze medal.
Erfan Amiri claimed silver after being beaten by Kurban Kurbanov from Uzbekistan in 96kg class. The bronze medal went to Natsagsuren Zolboo from Mongolia and Daulet Shabanbay from Kazakhstan.
In 120kg class, Komeil Ghasemi lost to two-time Olympic gold medalist Artur Taymazov and claimed a silver. Deng Zhiwei from China and Mongolian Jargalsaikhany Chuluunbat jointly won the bronze medal.
The 2011 Asian Wrestling Championships take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 19 to May 22.
