Washington, DC - On Friday, November 4, NIAC issued a press release calling for TX restaurant owner, Mr. John Nonmacher, to take down the racist and violent depiction of what is a group of cowboys donning “Iranians Suck” t-shirts while lynching an Iranian on a poster at his restaurant.
To date, the poster is still being displayed in the restaurant. In order to continue our efforts to show that hate speech and discrimination - whether it be against our or any other community - will not be tolerated, an invitation for dialogue was sent to Mr. Nonmacher. While this is an isolated incident at a small restaurant in Katy, Texas, it's imperative that we take a stand now in order to prevent future and potentially larger incidents of hate and discrimination from occuring.
