At least two Iranian pilgrims have been killed and 18 others injured in a bomb explosion around the Iraqi city of Samarra, a report says.

The Wednesday blast occurred near a bus carrying pilgrims who returned from a visit to a shrine in the city of Samarra, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, Reuters reported.
Since the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq, Iranian pilgrims have fallen victim to bombing attacks during pilgrimages to holy sites in the country.
On Sunday, one Iranian was killed and four others wounded in a similar incident in the northwestern Baghdad district of Kadhimiy.
Iraq has been the scene of daily bombing attacks and shootings targeting civilians, army and police personnel since the US-led invasion.
This is while all American forces are set to leave Iraq by the end of 2011 after Baghdad refused to grant legal immunity to US soldiers remaining in the country.
