Photos: Niasar Waterfall, A Kavir Desert Oasis

Photos by Abolfazl Mahrokh, Mehr News Agency

The city of Kashan is the first of the large oases along the Qom-Kerman road which runs along the edge of the central deserts of Iran. Its charm is thus mainly due to the contrast between the parched immensities of the deserts and the greenery of the well-tended oasis. The beautiful small village of Niasar is located 28 kilometers west of Kashan. With lots of flowers, a waterfall and caves, Niasar is hidden in the desert surrounded by mountains.

Niasar waterfall in particular is a major attraction for the tourists seeking refuge from the dry desert.
