"This is a great victory and I am very pleased with the way my players played. They have shown a great spirit during the entire tournament and did well to recover from the matches," the UAE coach Hassan Ajenoui said.
Ajenoui added, "We have played five matches in 10 days in hot and humid conditions so this victory means a lot to us because it is also our second straight title."
Iran had already defeated the UAE 4-1 in the group stage.
"Iran deserved to win the title but things went against us and we lost. Incredibly, our players missed their chances in the final match," Iran coach Maryam Irandoost said.
