Persepolis has suffered a humiliating defeat against bottom-table Mes of Kerman in the 10th week of the Iranian Premier League (IPL).

Keyvan Amraei fired the ball in the back of the net from close range in the 35th minutes of the match to give the hosts a 1-0 lead at the break.
Persepolis players pressed hard for an equalizer after the interval, but they finally had to settle for the loss as they lacked the cutting edge in front of the goal.
The result did not make any significant changes to the two teams' standings as bottom-rooted Mes stayed in the 17th place with eight points and the Reds went down to sit in the eighth spot with 12 points.

In the other matches of the day, Shahrdari blanked Malavan 2-0 at Tabriz's Yadegar-e Emam stadium with goals by Mohammad-Reza Zeynalkheiri and Mehrdad Qanbari, and Naft Abadan and Shahin played out a 1-1 draw in Abadan's Takhti stadium. Hossein Baghlani opened the scoring on the hour mark and Abbas Pourkhosravani leveled the game in the dying minutes of the match.
Naft Tehran is leading the table with 21 points, one point more than second-place Esteqlal. Teraktorsazi and Saba are third and fourth respectively on goal differences.
