The trade between Iran and Turkey in January-July was valued at $9,245,915,000 showing 70.19 percent growth over the same period of last year, according to a report by Turkey's Statistical Institute reported.
In July, Iran-Turkey trade reached $1,483,468,000 showing 59 percent growth over the same month in 2010, the report read.
Given the growing trade between the two countries and realization of preferential trade agreement in the current year, it is predicted that Iran-Turkey trade to exceed $15 billion in 2011, the report added.
During the 7 months, Turkey's exports to Iran reached $2,033,821,000 from $1,558,397,000 in the same months of 2010, showing 30.5 percent growth.
Iran's exports to Turkey also increased 86.2 percent growth during the same period valued at $7,212,094,000. In January-July 2010, Iran's exports to Turkey stood at $3,874,090,000.
It is also predicted that the annual trade between the two countries will reach $30 billion during the next 3-4 years.
