"Hunting planes and stealth bombers of Iranian Army Air Forces dropped bombs and missiles as well as rockets with warheads to mobile and fixed objectives successfully," the air practice Spokesman Hossein Chit-Foroush said.
Also Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdolrahim Mousavi told reporters, "staging these maneuvers sends the message of peace, friendship and calm for those who are friend of Islamic Revolution of Iran and represents Iran's deterrent power, might and increasing dignity of Iranian army for those with enmity and aggression nature."
"Employment of new smart weapons including long-range and short-range laser missiles and tv missiles were included in the air drill. We also evaluated smart bombs."
On Saturday, Iran began the second phase of major aerial drills -- dubbed "Fadaeeyan Harim Velayat 3" (Defenders of Velayat Sanctuaries 3) -- in preparation for yet another extensive military maneuver next week.
The second phase of the drills included the performance of tactical flights and dropping of test ammunition on mock targets.
The third phase of the drill involves air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles as well as various types of fighter sorties.
