Tolouti won the 64-kilogram class match 16-12 to advance to the round of 16 of the competition at the Excel Arena in London on Tuesday.

The fight started slowly but Iranian boxer injected some much-needed aggression to edge the opening round 4-3.

The Spaniard was very busy but the cleaner work came from Tolouti, whose power punches impressed the judges enough to extend his lead by a further point.

The third round played out in much the same fashion as Tolouti wrapped up a four-point triumph.

Twenty-seven-year-old Tolouti is scheduled to meet Daniyar Yeleussinove of Kazakhstan on Saturday.

On Monday, Ehsan Rouzbahani of Iran also beat his Colombian rival Jeysson Monroy Varela in the 81-kilogram division.

Rouzbahani is scheduled to face Bahram Muzaffer of Turkey on Saturday.
