Abbas Kiarostami's "Close Up" has been announced among the "Top 50 Greatest Films of All Time". The "Close Up" filmed in 1990 with 31 votes come in at 42nd place.

Other films at the 42nd were "Pather Panchali" by Satyajit Ray, "Some Like It Hot" by Billy Wilder, "Gertrud" by Carl Dreyer, "Pierrot le fou" by Jean-Luc Godard and "Play Time" by Jacques Tati.
Also "Citizen Kane" by Orson Welles after 50 years at top was replaced by Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo".
The British Sight & Sound magazine that publishes the list every 10 years has collected ballots from eight hundred and forty-six critics, programmers and distributors to publish its latest list.
