150-member delegation will accompany Indian PM in visit to Tehran

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who will visit Tehran on August 28 to participate in the NAM summit will be accompanied by a 150-member delegation, Iran's ambassador to New Delhi said on Tuesday.

The delegation comprises a number of foreign ministry, political, and economic officials as well as about 40 media persons, Ambassador Mehdi Nabizadeh told the Mehr News Agency.

Nabizadeh said Indian Foreign Minister S. M. Krishna will also accompany the prime minister during the visit.

Nabizadeh added that the participation of the Indian prime minister in the NAM summit will leave positive effects on the two countries' relations and will help promote regional and bilateral cooperation.

The XVI Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement is scheduled to be held from August 26 to 31.
