Ameli established the band one year ago. Its name NET stands for Persian words "Neda-ye Tabiat" (The Song of Nature). She is one the four singers in the band.

"By establishing this group and performing concerts, we would like to make women happy," Ameli said.

"We want to tell them that sometimes it is necessary to allocate time for their social roles," she added.

She described NET as a jazz band and asked Iranian women to consider this genre besides their inclination toward traditional music.

She has written the lyrics for the most of songs, which will be performed during the concerts.

"I will perform the songs I composed for women - the songs which people have never listened to before," she said.

The band also includes some English songs in its repertoire.
