Tasvir-e Shahr managing director Hadi Monabbati, Tehran City Council member Ahmad Masjed-Jamei, deputy mayor Mohammad Ayazi, and several other officials visited the art show on Saturday.
"The Tehran urban management feels very honored to showcase works by three generations of female Iranian artists," Monabbati said in a short speech at the exhibition.
"We believe that without art, modern cities will die spiritually," he added.

"As the languages of Foruq (Farrokhzad), Parvin (Etesami) and Simin (Daneshvar) have been recognized in Persian literature, we should see whether there are specific schools of painting among Iranian female artists," Masjed-Jamei said.
"This fact can be ascertained from this exhibit," he added.

Masjed-Jamei said that the Tehran City Council would make efforts to convert Mansureh Hosseini's home into a museum for her works.
"This exhibit is an ideal opportunity to scrutinize the painting perspective of women," Ayazi said.
"It also gives a chance to learn about the evolution of art and thought through three generations of female artists in Iran," he added.
