The National Iranian men's snooker team has been crowned the world's second team after Pakistan. According to data released by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF), Pakistan is the world's snooker champion team with 172 points.
Iran, moving two places up in the latest IBSF ranking, is in the second place with 144 points. It is followed by England with 142 points and Thailand with 138 respectively.
Meanwhile, national Iranian women's snooker squad secured the 9th place in the 2012 IBSF ranking with a total of 50 points.
Hong Kong remains unchallenged at the top of the world ranking with 185 points. Belgium sits in second place with 155 points.
India has moved into the third place with 150 points, edging Thailand down to fourth place with 140.
Australia, New Zealand and Russia are all fifth with 50 points, and Latvia is in eighth place with 40 points.
