Movies line up for Edinburgh Iranian Festival

Five Iranian films will be screened during the Edinburgh Iranian Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Scotland from February 1 to 10.

The films are "A Cube of Sugar" directed by Reza Mirkarimi, "Kissing the Lovely Face of God" by Homayun Assadian, "The Apple and Salma" by Habib Bahmani, "Hatred" by Alireza Amini and "The Orange Dressed" by Dariush Mehrjuii.

The festival is also scheduled to hold several Iranian folk music concerts, art exhibitions and lectures by some Persian literature and culture experts.

The event aims to introduce the tremendous breadth of Iranian history and culture to the people of Scotland, and to integrate the two communities through a broad range of interactive events spanning numerous art forms.
