The 25th Islamic Unity International Conference kicked off in Tehran Wednesday as attended by 271 members of World Assembly of the Islamic Faiths Approximation and Islamic scholars.
The conference will focus on evaluating the 20-year performance of the Assembly of Islamic faith Approximation and aims to pave the way for unity and solidarity of the Islamic World, consultation of scholars to make their religious views closer, examining Muslims' problems, offering appropriate solutions and taking joint positions on the issues.
University professors, scholars, clerics and figures of scientific and cultural centers from 57 countries including Russia, France, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Australia, Egypt, the U.S., Britain, Denmark, Iraq, Turkey and Yemen have attended the conference.
The conference will also discuss Islamic Awakening, cultural growth in Islamic countries, spread of justice, the role of Islamic Awakening in global interactions and securing nations' rights.
